My daughter is friends with a set of triplets. She gets along with all three but is really good friends with only one. She is having a birthday party and has to limit the number of guests. Is it ok to invite the one? Should the one be excluded so as to avoid hurting feelings of the other two?

Birthday Invite

Thank you for your question.
This is a bit of a difficult situation. I see two options here.
1. You could invite the one that your daughter is really good friends with if they are a bit older and need that individual recognition. If the parents ask, explain that there is a limit and your daughter really wanted her friend to be included.
2. You could do something special with your daughter and the triplets. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money, just something special for them.
At the end of the day you need to feel comfortable with the decision you make. Discuss it with your daughter, she may surprise you with a wonderful solution.
Best wishes!
