How do I plan a co-ed baby shower? Is it appropriate? My daughter and her husband live in another state and I want to host a baby shower for both of them and invite men to the shower as well. Please advise me.
Couple Baby Shower

Thank you for your question! Congratulations on your soon to be Grandbaby!
You have a fantastic idea on holding a baby shower for your daughter and son-in-law. It is a great way to celebrate them as new parents-to-be.
With a couples baby shower there are a few things that need to be changed from the traditional baby showers. For the most part these become a great get together for friends and family. This can be a completely social event with chatting and food, or you can add some games if you choose. The games would need to be ones that all would enjoy participating in.
On that note, be sure to invite plenty of men. This will make it so that your son-in-law doesn't feel out of place. I am sure a room full of women talking about baby things is very intimidating to most men.
It is also fun to have the couple open the gifts together. This way everyone can see both of their reactions.
I truly think that if done right, a couples baby shower is a great way to go. This way the dad gets to play of a part in the celebration that comes with a new baby. I hope this has helped! Best wishes!
