No gift requested at wedding vows dinner

No gift requested at wedding vows dinner

by Dot

My husband and I are invited to a wedding 35th renewing vows outside park event where these friends got married and then to dinner....she called to invite us. The dinner is about $25 a head...She requested no gifts---------but it seems like a expense for her.......I don't know if this is a kind gesture or is this practiced -no gifts please.

No Gifts Please

Thank you for your question.

A renewing of vows ceremony has become increasingly popular lately. Couples love to relive the day that they began their wonderful journey together.

It is wonderful that your friend has invited you to share this event with them. Many of the couples who are renewing their vows request no gifts. Sharing the evening with family and friends is what they consider as their gift.

It is thoughtful of you to be concerned about the costs involved. Sharing in the evening with them will bring them so much joy that it will be worth the costs incurred.

Best wishes!
