They did not know my daughter and they invited all of my friends to attend - none of whom knew my daughter. It was a lovely shower party and everyone gave her beautiful gifts. I would like to show my appreciation but don't know how to go about it. What should I do?

Thank You Gifts
by: Wendy (Modern Manners and Etiquette)
Thank you for your question!
You have some very wonderful friends! I can understand why you would want to express your gratitude to them for all that they have done.
One of the first things to remember when you are thinking of an appreciation gift is what is important to the person you are giving a gift to. If you know of things that they love, then it is easy to do something for them that will make them happy.
Another thing you can look at is something that they would not normally do for themselves. An idea would be to take them both out to have lunch and manicures or pedicures. This would be a great time to thank them personally and spend an afternoon together.
If you have crafting skills, making something from your heart is a great way to show them your appreciation. This way the gift can be personalized to them. I really enjoy making frames from wood. It is easy to find a beautiful print and design a frame.
I hope this gives you some ideas. These are truly good friends. You are wonderful to express your gratitude to them.
